About Kent Smith

I didn't come to this work through a textbook. It came to me through living it...

Growing up in a family where chaos was the norm and survival was the daily practice. Alcoholism, instability, abuse, and the kind of dysfunction that teaches a child to disappear, stay quiet, and never trust that safety is real.

The patterns ran deep and were invisible. Silence was survival. Codependency was the norm. No sense of personal boundaries. Hypersensitivity to rejection. Taking on responsibilities that weren't mine. And underneath all of it, a self-trust wound so deep that every decision felt life-or-death.

I know what it feels like to be sinking in quicksand while looking like you're holding it all together.

I know what it feels like to do the work. The talk therapy, the self-help, the personal development, and still feel the same patterns running. Not because the work was inadequate, but because it wasn't reaching the layer where the pattern actually lived.

And I know what it feels like when something finally reaches that layer. Because that's what happened to me.

The turning point...

There came a point where the pain of staying the same became greater than the fear of change. For me, that moment was stark: genuine despair, real darkness, and then an unexpected intervention that brought the first experience of true inner peace I'd ever felt.

Not the numbing kind. Not the pretending kind. The kind where something inside you settles for the first time, and you realize that a different life is actually possible.

That peace became my compass.

How the work evolved...

I started my alternative health career in 1994 as a registered massage therapist. Over 24 years of practice, I had thousands of sessions for people with physical pain. But I kept observing the same thing: some clients responded beautifully, while others experienced little lasting relief no matter what I did.

The underlying issues weren't being addressed. For certain types of presentations, bodywork alone was like going to the hardware store trying to buy milk.

That observation drove me deeper. Into energy medicine. Discovering that pain and dysfunction are often emotional and energetic in nature, not just structural.

The science of epigenetics. Understanding how the experiences of parents and grandparents literally change gene expression in their descendants, shaping health and stress patterns before a person takes their first breath.

And most recently into NLP and holistic coaching. Learning how internalized beliefs and integrating the conscious and subconscious minds can create change.

Each step wasn't planned. Each one grew organically out of what the previous one couldn't reach. My own healing journey and my clients' needs kept pointing in the same direction, toward integration.

What I've learned...

Over 30 years and hundreds of clients, one truth has become undeniable: you can only take people as far as you've gone yourself. Every bridge I've crossed in my own healing journey expands my capacity to walk alongside someone else crossing that same bridge. And I won't attract or appeal to someone who needs something I haven't gotten myself.

That is why my personal healing work never stops. It's why this work isn't theoretical or hypothetical. It's practical, experiential, and literally hands-on.

Today, I have the profound privilege of walking alongside people who are feeling stuck with chronic pain, crushing fatigue, and suffocating anxiety that's often rooted in unresolved trauma, both personal and generational.

Being able to look another human being in the eye and say with certainty: I've been in that dark place. I know how hopeless it feels. And healing isn't just possible. It's your birthright.

What I bring to this work...

Over three decades in alternative health, spanning bodywork, energy medicine, nervous system healing, and holistic coaching. Formal training in kinesiology, NLP, hypnotherapy, PSYCH-K, Emotion Code, Body Code, ortho-bionomy, and root cause coaching. And a lived understanding of trauma, recovery, and transformation that no certification can teach.

The vision...

My purpose is simple: to facilitate safe, real, impactful healing experiences for individuals through experiential learning and support.

Not to motivate or inspire in a way that fades after a week. Not to sell to you but to help you find you. To create the kind of quiet reckoning that rearranges what you're willing to take action on.

The kind where someone hears their own inner world described out loud, possibly for the first time. Realizing that they've been playing an unwinnable game and calling themselves a failure for not winning it.

Connecting with the fact that they are not broken. Being empowered by the inescapable feeling that they are "the one". They have always had and been the one with the inherent power to heal and grow.

And that's not a burden, it's the best news you can ever remember. Because the one thing that needs to change is the one thing you actually have authority over, yourself.

If anything on this page resonated with you, the best next step is the quiz...

It takes two minutes, and it will show you where you are right now. No pressure, no pitch, completely confidential.
